In the olden days, Olympians and sporting personalities never had chest press and abs creating machines in those days. So, getting back to the basics will definitely help in getting faster and better results.

One may not realize that there are many variations and ways of doing a push-up but one must keep in the mind the important aspect which is that there is a proper form in doing it. It is important that the form you have must be proper and the push-ups that you do have to be done in a perfect manner so that you may get optimum results. While doing the push up, make sure that your hands are a bit wider from the shoulder and width apart. Here, you need to remember that your hands positioning has to be in different angles in case you want to pump up your chest.

You could start first by keeping your hands faced straight up. Here you need to ensure that your middle finger has to be pointed straight. You can make your feet touch the ground if you want to do a more advanced exercise or you can make your shoulders apart for getting more stability. In addition, while doing the push up, you must ensure that your butt is not sticking right up in the air. One easy way to prevent it is to clench the butt and try to squeeze in the abdominal muscles while exercising. After that you have to reduce the body weight and make the body in alignment like on a straight line. Then you have to slowly push the body back into the controlled manner.

Some of the common pushups are –

Here you need to start the exercising while being in the standard position, keeping your hands facing in a straightforward manner and the feet has to be somewhat between the shoulder width apart.
