How Much Exercise Is Needed per Week

As the world keeps on moving towards advancements, the awareness of physical exercise has made a deeper and greater impact over the human race. This is because the advantages of physical exercises are apparently endless!!

Besides focusing on their primary goals and aims, reducing body weight or gaining weight has now become a common general goal for each and everyone in this world. As a result many people have started moving towards the fitness centres, spending a huge amount of money and  time. Though people are ready to invest in fitness centres, there arises a little bit of confusion, whether the money invested will be worthwhile. This trend of going to fitness centres will yield the best expected results, only if the training offered is on the right and healthy path.

Physical activity is essential for everybody, except that the amount you require differs for each individual. To remain healthy and well, most kids and adults need to do two kinds of physical exercise every week: Aerobic and Strength exercises.

The first is the Aerobic activity – which can be classified as Moderate Aerobic and Vigorous Aerobic. Researchers have proved that one minute of vigorous activity provides the same health benefits as two minutes of moderate activity.

Adults ought to do 2 hours and 30 minutes of this moderate aerobic activity or 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity. Young adults should do 60 minutes of training respectively. Moderate Aerobic activities incorporates brisk strolling, swimming and cutting the yard. On the other hand, Vigorous Aerobic includes running and high impact moving (aerobic dancing).

Next is strength training. This includes physical activities like utilizing weight machines, rock climbing and resistance in the water etc. Adults should spend at least 2 days per week in doing these strength training exercises.

Even a little exercise can keep your body healthy and strong!! Physical activity is generally safe for each and every one. While doing such physical activities, here are some rules to be safe:

  • Find out the measure and sort of activity that is appropriate for you.
  • Pick a protected environment in doing your exercises.
  • Use the right and appropriate training equipment.
  • Hire a certified trainer to get you started on the right foot.
